Regular or Unleaded?

We had a small natural gas leak in our home this last month, and I was in the process of getting it resolved. The kids were always telling me they smelled natural gas as we were working on it. Then a week or so later, Dahlia told Mindy she smelled gas again. When Mindy went out to the living room, there was Dahlia sniffing and she said, "I think it is regular gas." Julia was right next to her, and sure enough, had a loaded diaper.

Dahlia's Lean Thinking

Dahlia was asking Mindy yesterday about why I had to go to work. Mindy replied with the answer that seemed to satisfy the other children in the past, "Daddy has to make money so we can have food and clothes, and a house, etc".

Dahlia would not take this at face value. She came up with a better solution.

"Daddy could just stay home with us until we run out of food. Then when we need more food, he could go back to work until we have enough money to buy food."

I would classify that as some pragmatic Lean Thinking.
